The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955: Applicable for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, or Sikhs. Both parties must not have a living spouse.
இந்து திருமண சட்டம், 1955: இந்துக்கள், பௌத்தர்கள், சமணர்கள் அல்லது சீக்கியர்களுக்குப் பொருந்தும். இரு தரப்பினருக்கும் வாழும் துணை இருக்கக்கூடாது.
The Tamil Nadu Hindu Marriage (Registration) Rules, 1967: Mandatory registration of all Hindu marriages solemnized in the state.

The Special Marriage Act, 1954: Applicable for inter-faith marriages or marriages solemnized without religious rituals.
சிறப்பு திருமணச் சட்டம், 1954: மதம் விட்டு மதம் நடக்கும் திருமணங்கள் அல்லது மதச் சடங்குகள் இன்றி நடக்கும் திருமணங்களுக்குப் பொருந்தும்.

Visit the official Inspector General of Registration (TNREGINET) portal. Create a user account and fill out the marriage registration application form under the Hindu Marriage Act or Special Marriage Act.
பதிவுத்துறை தலைவரின் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ இணையதளத்திற்கு (TNREGINET) செல்லவும். பயனர் கணக்கை உருவாக்கி, இந்து திருமணச் சட்டம் அல்லது சிறப்புத் திருமணச் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் திருமணப் பதிவு விண்ணப்பப் படிவத்தைப் பூர்த்தி செய்யவும்.
Document Upload & Token Generation
ஆவணப் பதிவேற்றம் மற்றும் டோக்கன் பெறுதல்
Scan and upload all mandated documents (Proof of Age, Address, and Marriage Invitation). Select a convenient date and time slot for physical verification at the respective Sub-Registrar Office.
தேவையான அனைத்து ஆவணங்களையும் (வயதுச் சான்று, முகவரி மற்றும் திருமண அழைப்பிதழ்) ஸ்கேன் செய்து பதிவேற்றவும். சம்பந்தப்பட்ட சார் பதிவாளர் அலுவலகத்தில் நேரில் சரிபார்ப்பதற்கு வசதியான தேதியையும் நேரத்தையும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கவும்.

Both husband and wife must appear in person before the Sub-Registrar along with three valid witnesses. Present all original documents for verification.
கணவன் மற்றும் மனைவி இருவரும் மூன்று தகுதியான சாட்சிகளுடன் சார் பதிவாளர் முன் நேரில் ஆஜராக வேண்டும். சரிபார்ப்புக்காக அனைத்து அசல் ஆவணங்களையும் சமர்ப்பிக்கவும்.
Issuance of Certificate
சான்றிதழ் வழங்குதல்
Upon successful verification, signatures are captured, and the digitally signed Marriage Certificate is issued. It can also be downloaded later from the portal.
வெற்றிகரமான சரிபார்ப்பிற்குப் பிறகு, கையொப்பங்கள் பெறப்பட்டு, டிஜிட்டல் கையொப்பமிடப்பட்ட திருமணச் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கப்படுகிறது. பின்னர் இணையதளத்திலிருந்தும் இதனை பதிவிறக்கம் செய்யலாம்.

Registration is mandatory within 90 days of the solemnization of the marriage to avoid late penalties.
திருமணம் நடைபெற்ற 90 நாட்களுக்குள் பதிவு செய்வது கட்டாயமாகும். தாமதத்திற்கு அபராதம் விதிக்கப்படும்.

If either party is a divorcee or widow/widower, the divorce decree or death certificate of the former spouse is strictly required.
இரு தரப்பினரில் எவரேனும் விவாகரத்து பெற்றவராகவோ அல்லது விதவையாகவோ இருந்தால், முந்தைய துணையின் விவாகரத்து தீர்ப்பாணை அல்லது இறப்புச் சான்றிதழ் கண்டிப்பாகத் தேவை.
